Terry & Gwenda Clayton work in Launceston and often require accommodation for ourselves and our friends. We also wanted hard working people like ourselves to have accommodation in Launceston that wasn't just somewhere to stay overnight, but rather, somewhere that is a bit special, as a treat, for an anniversary, or for any other special occasion. Somewhere out of the ordinary and yet affordable enough to come back to time after time.

That's why we make the villas available at drastically reduced rates - to accommodate couples who likewise budget around an ordinary income but who dream about being able to afford a personal retreat.

Additionally, we have tried to overcome the shortcomings we have personally experienced when staying away from home. We have tried to anticipate everything you might require so that you'll need to do no more than just throw your clothes in a bag, arrive, and start winding down with nothing more to do.

“Where You'd Rutherbe” villas were initially designed as an above average retreat for local people to enjoy. But we are happy to report that, since making "our" villas available to our friends, and their friends, word of mouth recommendations has increasingly allowed us to also extend the invitation to include interstate and international guests as well.
